Buick Rendezvous
A tall crossover on GM's U-body minivan platform, the same vehicle underneath as the Pontiac Aztek, and sharing its powertrain with the Montana. The 3.4 V6 carries the family's intake manifold gasket problem and, on this platform particularly, a plastic coolant crossover elbow that fails abruptly — a sudden coolant loss with no prior symptom, which is worth knowing before chasing an overheating complaint into the head gasket. The 3.6 V6 fitted to the Ultra is a different, chain-driven engine with its own timing-stretch history. Versatrak all-wheel drive is a passive viscous coupling and sets no codes of its own.
