Kia Soul
The boxy compact, and in Europe latterly sold only as a battery electric while North America kept the petrol — so the market decides whether there is an engine to diagnose at all. The petrol cars are conventional Gamma and Nu fours with a torque-converter automatic, which keeps them simple. The electric shares its drive unit and battery architecture with the e-Niro and Kona Electric, so those three diagnose as one family regardless of the badge.
