SAIPA Sahand
The saloon derived from the Shahin, sharing its platform, engine and most of its electrical architecture — so Shahin information applies almost throughout and is the better place to look, since more has been written about it. The engine is the M15 with sequential injection, reading normally over a standard connector. The faults that recur are the group's rather than the model's: coil packs failing individually and producing cylinder-specific misfires, a crankshaft position sensor behind the pulley that causes intermittent stalling, and fuel-system sensitivity to the fuel actually available, which shows first as a hot-restart hesitation rather than as a code.
