Adaptation procedure not carried out after repair
A repair completed without the adaptation the module needs afterwards. Modern transmissions and clutches learn continuously — fill times, pressures, touch points — and those learned values describe the components that were there before.
Applied to new parts they are wrong. A clutch replaced without its touch point relearned is commanded against the old worn one; a valve body fitted with the old fill times gives harsh or slipping shifts. So the module reports performance faults on a repair that was done correctly. Clearing codes is not the procedure: the values persist and the codes return within a few drive cycles, which reads as a failed repair. The reset is a commanded operation and usually needs a defined drive cycle after it.
Typically an easy fix. Often worth checking before paying anyone to look.
