Faulty throttle body
The electronic throttle body at fault as an assembly — its motor, its position sensors, or its internal gearing — as distinct from a plate that is merely dirty or obstructed. On most modern vehicles it is a sealed unit, so the practical question is not which internal part failed but whether the fault is genuinely inside it.
Establish that it is before ordering, because the alternatives are cheaper. Carbon on the plate, an obstruction, a wiring or connector fault, or a relearn that was never carried out all produce the same commanded-position-not-achieved codes. Clean the bore and perform the relearn first — that resolves a large share of them, and it costs an hour rather than a part.
When it is the unit, the failure is usually the position sensors or the motor's brushes. A signal that drops out at one point of the sweep while the other tracks smoothly names the sensors; a motor that stalls partway or draws heavily against a free plate names the drive. A relearn is required after any replacement, and skipping it produces a fresh set of codes on a brand new part.
