Audi Cabriolet
The four-seat convertible of the 1990s, built on the B3/B4 Audi 80 floorpan and sold long after that saloon had been replaced by the A4 — so a car registered in 1998 is mechanically an early-nineties Audi, and 80 information applies where A4 information does not. The electro-hydraulic roof is the part that defines ownership: a single pump feeds several rams through microswitches, and a roof that stops halfway is far more often a switch or a limit sensor than the pump everybody suspects.
