Mazda 929
The large saloon above the 626, sold as the Sentia in Japan, and rear-driven — which is what separates it from everything else Mazda was selling in the class and from the front-drive cars its engine otherwise appears in. A driveline complaint here has a propshaft and a live rear end behind it, so the 626 and Millenia material that covers the JE V6 stops being useful the moment the fault is downstream of the gearbox. Numbers were never large outside Japan and parts availability reflects that, which is worth establishing with the owner before a diagnosis commits them to a part.
