Renault Zoe
The battery electric supermini, and for years the best-selling electric car in Europe — so it is the electric most likely to arrive with a fault and the one with the deepest owner knowledge behind it. Two things shape its diagnosis. Many early cars had a leased rather than owned battery, which puts a telematics-driven state-of-health check in the loop that other electrics do not have. And the Chameleon charger is an unusual design that uses the motor windings as part of the charging circuit, so a charging fault and a drive-motor fault can present through the same components.
