Subaru Baja
An Outback with the rear roof removed and a four-foot bed behind the cabin — a unibody pickup, which is the point: it is diagnosed as an Outback, not as a truck, and every powertrain and chassis procedure for that car applies. The turbocharged version uses the EJ255, so its timing belt, its turbocharger oil supply and the banjo-filter question that governs EJ turbo longevity all apply here too. About 30,000 were built in four years, and the bed extender and the Switchback panel behind the seats are the parts that are gone.
