Subaru Impreza

Subaru's compact car, and the nameplate that carries the make's one genuinely transferable diagnostic fact: the flat-four's cylinders are not arranged front to back. Cylinders 1 and 3 sit on one bank and 2 and 4 on the other, so a single-cylinder misfire code names a side of the engine as much as a position along it — and swapping a coil with "the next one" means something different here than on an inline engine.
