Chevrolet Express
The full-size van, identical to the GMC Savana, and remarkable mainly for how long one design has stayed in production — a body-on-frame van still being built decades after the platform beneath it was current. That is the useful fact: a very large fleet of these exists in almost every year, so a fault is rarely novel, and material from any point in the run usually applies. Engines are the small-block V8 family shared with the pickups, with a Duramax diesel offered at both ends of the run. Cutaway and chassis-cab versions carry bodywork from a second manufacturer whose wiring is not GM's and is not documented here.
