Volkswagen Caddy
The small van, and the model where working duty changes the diagnosis most. The 2K generation sits on the Golf Mk5 floorpan and the 2020 car moves to MQB, so both diagnose as passenger cars mechanically — but neither is used like one. Short urban delivery cycles are the reason its particulate filters fail: the engine never reaches the sustained temperature a regeneration needs, so the filter loads up and the fault reads as an engine problem when the duty cycle is the cause.
