Wuling Hongguang MINI EV
The micro-EV that became one of the best-selling electric cars in the world, and the model whose deliberate omissions are the diagnosis. Most trims have no DC fast charging at all — a car that refuses a rapid charger is behaving exactly as designed, and that single fact accounts for a large share of the complaints brought about it. There is no thermal management on the base pack either, so cold-weather range collapse and slow charging in winter are inherent rather than faults. Underneath it is about as simple as a modern car gets: a single rear motor, a small LFP pack and very few modules, which means genuine electronic faults are rare and most work is twelve-volt, connector and charger-cable related.
