Fault stored elsewhere in the transmission control system
A pointer code: something else in the transmission system has stored a fault and this module is reporting that it cannot rely on it. It says where to look, not what is wrong, and reading it as a fault in its own right is the mistake it exists to prevent.
So the order of work is fixed: read every module's codes before diagnosing any of them. The originating fault has a freeze frame describing normal driving; this one describes a system already compromised. Clear everything, drive, and read again — what returns first and alone is the real fault. Resist replacing anything this code names, which is how a healthy solenoid or sensor gets fitted to a transmission whose actual problem was low fluid.
