Chassis
Everything between the driver and the road: braking, stability control, steering, suspension and wheel speed sensing.
Subsystems
- C00xx 85 Braking and Wheel Speed ABS hydraulics, wheel speed sensors and brake pressure sensing. CarGeek navigational grouping.
- C05xx 189 Braking and Wheel Speed (continued) The continuation of C00xx: wheel speed sensing and its shared supply, brake pressure sensors, the ABS hydraulic unit, and the motor and position sensing of an electric brake booster — the part that replaced vacuum assistance on hybrids and electric cars, which have no manifold vacuum to draw on.
- C06xx 13 Chassis Actuators and Aerodynamics Chassis devices that move rather than measure — active aerodynamic panels, and the actuators a modern chassis commands directly. Barely opened: almost nothing in this block has a second source, and the same GM legacy-scheme trap applies as in C05xx.

Information, not instruction
CarGeek is a reference, not a service manual. Its pages are written from public sources and from what other people have found, never from a manufacturer's own service information, so they can be wrong or incomplete for your particular vehicle. Some of what they describe carries real risk: high voltage, fuel under pressure, stored energy, hot and moving parts.
Have anything you intend to act on checked by a trained person against the manufacturer's own procedure for your vehicle. Nothing here replaces that procedure.
