What to do
Expect reduced power. Ask for a boost leak test before the sensor is replaced; split pipework and loose clamps are common and cheap to fix.
What this code means
The boost sensor reading is electrically valid but does not match what the system should be producing. Before suspecting the sensor, remember that a genuine boost leak makes an honest sensor report low — a split charge pipe or a loose intercooler clamp produces exactly this code with healthy electronics throughout. A pressure test of the charge system settles it quickly.
