Isuzu's 3.0 V6 diesel — the Circle L — sold by Opel and Vauxhall as the Y30DT, the 3.0 V6 CDTi.
⚑ It is an Isuzu engine in a Vauxhall, and that is the whole reason to know its real name: searching Y30DT finds a handful of forum posts, and searching Isuzu finds the engineering. General Motors owned a large stake in Isuzu when the Vectra C was designed, which is the explanation.
A V6 diesel is rare and the packaging is the consequence — it fills the Vectra's bay completely, and jobs that are routine on the four-cylinder CDTi are not routine here.
Its known items are the ones a common-rail V6 of this age would have: injectors, the turbochargers, and swirl flaps in the intake. Everything is doubled because there are two banks, which affects both diagnosis and cost.
