Isuzu's 5.2-litre truck diesel — the 4HK1 — in the N-series and F-series lorries.
This is a commercial vehicle engine and the standards around it are different, which is the useful framing: it is designed for a working life measured in hundreds of thousands of kilometres under load, and it is serviced on hours as much as on distance.
It is common-rail from the 4HK1-TC onward, and the modern diesel rules apply — but the duty cycle changes which ones bite. A lorry that idles for hours and runs short urban delivery legs is the worst case for a particulate filter, and on these the regeneration is often a driver-initiated procedure rather than an automatic one. An operator who ignores the lamp is the commonest root cause.
Injector and injector-harness faults are the recurring electrical item, and they set cylinder-specific codes that are worth trusting.
The 4H family is not the 4J family — the 4JJ1 in the D-Max is a light-duty 3.0 with its own page here, and almost nothing about the two is interchangeable despite the similar names.
