Scion xA
The small hatchback sold alongside the xB at the brand's launch, and the Japanese-market Toyota ist — the same car, and the name to search for parts and bulletins. It uses the 1NZ-FE, one of Toyota's most widely used and most durable small engines, so genuine engine faults are rare and the work is usually elsewhere. The two that recur are the electric power steering column, which sets an assist-loss fault that is a column-motor problem rather than a rack one, and the ignition coils, which fail individually and produce cylinder-specific misfires. Its successor the xD is the closely related Toyota Urban Cruiser and shares most of the platform.
