Cadillac XT4
The compact SUV on GM's E2XX, and the only Cadillac with a transverse four-cylinder as its sole engine — a 2.0 turbo with an unusual sliding-cam valvetrain that varies lift by moving the camshaft laterally. That mechanism has its own actuators and position sensors, so a rough-running or power complaint here can be a valvetrain fault where on most turbo fours it would be boost or ignition. Front-wheel drive as standard with an on-demand rear coupling.
