Dodge Dart
The 2013-2016 compact, and the useful fact about it is that it is an Alfa Romeo Giulietta platform with Fiat engines and Chrysler electronics — a genuinely mixed vehicle, so information from any single one of those three sources covers only part of it. The 1.4 MultiAir turbo is the engine that generates the most work: its MultiAir brick, the electrohydraulic unit sitting on top of the head that replaces the intake camshaft's mechanical action, fails and sets a family of valve-timing and misfire codes that look like conventional cam faults and are not. The dual dry-clutch automatic offered alongside it is a Fiat unit whose clutch-position and actuator codes are equally unfamiliar to a workshop expecting a Chrysler transmission.
