Hyundai Venue
The smallest Hyundai crossover, sold widely in India and North America on a shortened version of the Kappa-engined small-car platform. The engines are simple by modern standards — the 1.6 MPI in North America is port-injected and largely free of the carbon problems that affect the direct-injection engines above it — but two things are worth knowing. Indian-market cars carry the 1.0 T-GDI three-cylinder with a dry dual-clutch gearbox, and that combination's clutch-temperature and actuator-position codes are the commonest complaint on the model, usually after heavy stop-start traffic rather than any component failure. And the CVT fitted elsewhere is an Intelligent Variable Transmission with a chain rather than a belt, which changes its service data.
