Mercury Mariner
A Ford Escape, and the same vehicle as the Mazda Tribute — three badges on one compact SUV, with the Escape carrying almost all of the written diagnosis. The hybrid arrived here before most manufacturers had one at all, and its nickel-metal-hydride pack and electric transaxle are now old enough that battery-block and state-of-charge codes are the common reason one of these is scanned.
