Zeekr X

The compact crossover on the SEA-2 variant of the platform, which it shares with the smart #1 and #3 — so those cars are the useful cross-reference and their information is easier to find in European languages. It is a 400-volt car throughout, unlike the larger models, so its high-voltage procedure does not follow the 001's. Mechanically it is simple by the marque's standards: a single rear motor on most trims, an LFP or nickel pack depending on version, and no air suspension. The recurring complaints are body-electronic rather than high-voltage — the frameless doors and their electric latches in particular, which report as a door-ajar or immobiliser condition and prevent the car from moving off.

Information, not instruction

CarGeek is a reference, not a service manual. Its pages are written from public sources and from what other people have found, never from a manufacturer's own service information, so they can be wrong or incomplete for your particular vehicle. Some of what they describe carries real risk: high voltage, fuel under pressure, stored energy, hot and moving parts.

Have anything you intend to act on checked by a trained person against the manufacturer's own procedure for your vehicle. Nothing here replaces that procedure.

What makes one worth reading:

  • The car — make, model, year and engine. The same fault behaves differently on each.
  • What you measured, not only what you replaced.
  • What actually fixed it — or that nothing did, which is worth knowing too.
