High resistance in actuator wiring

Corrosion or a failing crimp adding resistance in the leads that feed a transmission actuator. Resistance steals force: the motor sees less of every volt, works harder for every move, runs hotter and finishes slower — so it reads as a tired actuator while the actuator itself is healthy.

The tell is voltage drop measured under load — across the run while the actuator works, not probed at rest. A connection can measure perfect cold and lose half the supply the moment real current flows.

Typically a moderate job.
