Open circuit in the request wiring
A break in the dedicated wire one module uses to ask another for something — a torque reduction, or air conditioning engagement. These are separate wires rather than bus messages precisely so a safety-relevant request does not depend on the network, and a broken one is often read as request active continuously, because refusing is not a safe default.
