Cause
Prolonged wheelspin on a loose surface
Sustained wheelspin — in snow, mud or on gravel — driving a wheel far faster than the vehicle is moving. On a hybrid or electric vehicle the traction motor spins with it, and a motor turning at high speed with no load is a condition the module monitors and limits.
The system's response is protective and correct. Overspeed limits, torque reduction, and a stored fault describing a speed that should not have occurred. A vehicle that lost power while being rocked out of snow is describing this, and the recovery is usually to stop, restart and let the system reset rather than to repair anything.
It is worth naming because the codes look serious. Motor speed, battery current and driveline faults stored together after a vehicle was stuck read like an expensive problem, and the diagnosis should start by asking what happened rather than by testing components. Repeated events are different — sustained wheelspin heats a differential or a coupling genuinely, so a vehicle that does this often may have real wear behind the same codes.
Typically an easy fix. Often worth checking before paying anyone to look.

Information, not instruction
CarGeek is a reference, not a service manual. Its pages are written from public sources and from what other people have found, never from a manufacturer's own service information, so they can be wrong or incomplete for your particular vehicle. Some of what they describe carries real risk: high voltage, fuel under pressure, stored energy, hot and moving parts.
Have anything you intend to act on checked by a trained person against the manufacturer's own procedure for your vehicle. Nothing here replaces that procedure.

What makes one worth reading:
- The car — make, model, year and engine. The same fault behaves differently on each.
- What you measured, not only what you replaced.
- What actually fixed it — or that nothing did, which is worth knowing too.
