Tata Tigor
The Tiago with a boot, and mechanically the same car. The Tigor shares the X1 platform, the engines, the wiring and the instrument electronics with the hatchback, so a write-up, a connector location or a module part number found under one badge is almost always right for the other. That is worth knowing because far more has been written about the Tiago.
Four fuels have worn this badge and the year narrows them. The 1.2 Revotron petrol ran throughout; the 1.05 Revotorq three-cylinder diesel was withdrawn at the BS6 changeover in 2020 and appears on no car registered after it; factory iCNG and the battery electric both arrived afterwards. So a post-2020 Tigor is not a diesel, and a diesel Tigor is not a BS6 car — which decides whether an emissions complaint has a particulate filter behind it at all.
The electric one is a different vehicle below the floor. It carries Tata's Ziptron drive rather than an engine — no fuel system, no catalyst, no emissions monitors — so almost none of the generic powertrain corpus applies to it, and orange-cable work on it is its own subject.
The five-speed automated manual is a clutch actuator bolted to a manual gearbox, not a torque converter. Its complaints are actuator position and clutch temperature, they show up in stop-start traffic, and to somebody expecting an automatic they read as a failing gearbox rather than as a clutch doing what a clutch does.
