The small crossover, and mechanically a Jeep Renegade — the same platform, the same MultiAir engines, the same gearboxes. MultiAir is worth knowing about before reading a valve-timing or rough-running code: the intake valves are opened hydraulically under electronic control rather than by a camshaft lobe, so the unit doing the controlling is a place a conventional diagnosis would never look.
