Vehicle
Fiat Multipla
The six-seat MPV with three seats across each row, and the model is worth its own page mostly because of what is under it rather than its shape. A large share of them were sold as Bipower cars running on compressed natural gas with petrol as the reserve, and that changes the diagnosis completely: there is a second fuel rail, a set of high-pressure regulators and solenoids, a changeover control unit, and a separate set of injectors, so a fuelling code can originate in either system and the car will switch between them under conditions the driver does not control. On petrol-only cars the 1.6 16v is straightforward. The 1.9 JTD's injector return-flow test is the fastest route through a rough-running complaint.

Information, not instruction
CarGeek is a reference, not a service manual. Its pages are written from public sources and from what other people have found, never from a manufacturer's own service information, so they can be wrong or incomplete for your particular vehicle. Some of what they describe carries real risk: high voltage, fuel under pressure, stored energy, hot and moving parts.
Have anything you intend to act on checked by a trained person against the manufacturer's own procedure for your vehicle. Nothing here replaces that procedure.

What makes one worth reading:
- The car — make, model, year and engine. The same fault behaves differently on each.
- What you measured, not only what you replaced.
- What actually fixed it — or that nothing did, which is worth knowing too.
