Lexus GX
The mid-size body-on-frame SUV, and a Toyota Land Cruiser Prado underneath — which is the useful fact, because Prado information is plentiful and GX information is not. Full-time four-wheel drive with a locking Torsen centre differential throughout, so unlike most SUVs in this catalogue there is a genuine mechanical centre diff to consider. The J150's 4.6 V8 is among the most reliable engines Toyota has made, so a fault on one is more often the air suspension or the KDSS hydraulics.
