Li Auto ONE
The model the marque launched with, and the clearest statement of its engineering: an extended-range electric vehicle, where a 1.2 turbocharged petrol engine drives a generator and never the wheels. There is no gearbox between engine and road, no driveshaft from it, and no road load on it at all — so its engine codes are generator-set codes, its operating point is chosen by the control system rather than the driver, and a driveability complaint almost never originates there. Treating one as a conventional hybrid sends the diagnosis to a subsystem that cannot produce the symptom. The recurring genuine faults are the fuel system on an engine that idles at fixed loads for long periods, and the pack's thermal management.
