Nissan 300ZX
The Z32-generation Z car, and the twin-turbo is one of the most access-constrained engines in this catalogue. The VG30DETT sits in a bay so tight that the standard procedure for replacing the rear bank's spark plugs and the turbochargers involves lifting the engine, and a great many jobs that are trivial elsewhere are measured here in hours rather than minutes. That single fact should shape any estimate. The naturally aspirated VG30DE cars are far easier to live with and share most of their remaining systems. Note that this catalogue keeps the later Z cars — 350Z onward — on their own page; the Z32 shares very little with them beyond the name.

Service information
Information, not instruction
CarGeek is a reference, not a service manual. Its pages are written from public sources and from what other people have found, never from a manufacturer's own service information, so they can be wrong or incomplete for your particular vehicle. Some of what they describe carries real risk: high voltage, fuel under pressure, stored energy, hot and moving parts.
Have anything you intend to act on checked by a trained person against the manufacturer's own procedure for your vehicle. Nothing here replaces that procedure.

What makes one worth reading:
- The car — make, model, year and engine. The same fault behaves differently on each.
- What you measured, not only what you replaced.
- What actually fixed it — or that nothing did, which is worth knowing too.
