Pontiac G6
The mid-size car that replaced the Grand Am, and mechanically a Chevrolet Malibu of its year on GM's Epsilon platform — which is where its information lives, because far more of it was written under that name. Two faults define its code traffic and neither is exotic: the electric power steering assist, whose failure sets a chassis code and leaves the wheel heavy, and the 3.5 and 3.9 pushrod V6s' intake manifold gaskets. The convertible has a retractable hardtop with its own body-control faults that have nothing to do with the powertrain.
