The electric SUV on MEB, and the highest-volume Volkswagen electric car — so it is the one most likely to arrive with a fault. Rear-wheel drive as standard with a front motor added on the GTX, which means a drive-motor code names the rear axle unless the car is a GTX. Its early software history is the useful context: several driveability complaints on these were resolved by control-unit updates rather than by parts, so establishing the software state is a legitimate first step rather than a dodge.
