Chevrolet S-10
The compact pickup, sold with only a badge between it and the GMC Sonoma and Isuzu Hombre, so all three names are worth searching. Note that the S-10 Blazer is the SUV on the same platform and has its own page — a great deal of what is written about "an S-10" is actually about the Blazer, and the running gear is shared but the bodies and their faults are not. The 4.3 Vortec's central injection assembly is the defining fault: a single spider-shaped unit feeding poppet nozzles down the intake, which leaks internally as it ages and produces long cranking, a rich condition and misfires that read like almost anything else. Established, well documented, and worth eliminating early on any 4.3 of these years.
