Peugeot 508
The large saloon and estate, replacing the 407 and the 607 at once. The first generation carries the diesel RXH Hybrid4 with its electrically driven rear axle; the second is a lower, sharper car on EMP2 with a petrol plug-in hybrid instead. The 2.0 BlueHDi at fleet mileage dominates the European population, so its code traffic is mostly after-treatment — particulate filter regeneration and the AdBlue system, which on this platform has its own pump and quality sensor and fails independently of the engine.
