P0176: Fuel Composition Sensor Circuit
What to do
Usually driveable on a default fuel assumption. Worth repairing if you regularly use high-ethanol blends, since the module can no longer adapt to them.
What this code means
A circuit fault in the sensor that measures fuel composition, fitted to flexible-fuel vehicles to determine ethanol content. Without it the module falls back to a default assumption about the fuel in the tank, which is safe but not optimal — expect a small loss of performance and economy rather than a driveability problem.
