What this code means
The primary metering control signal is dropping out intermittently. On a diesel this is felt as sudden surging or a momentary loss of drive, which is unnerving in traffic. The pump connector lives in a hot, heavily vibrating position, and a heat-sensitive fault that only appears once the engine is warm is common enough to be worth testing for specifically.
