What to do
Expect hard cold starting and rough running until warm. Less severe than losing all glow plugs, but the same repair.
What this code means
A fault in the second glow plug circuit, where the plugs are split across two controlled groups. Splitting them keeps peak current manageable, so a fault in one group leaves half the cylinders pre-heating — which typically produces a rough cold start on some cylinders rather than a total failure to fire.
