P0486: Exhaust Gas Recirculation Sensor B Circuit

Usually driveable with no symptom beyond the warning light.
What this code means
A general circuit fault on the second EGR feedback sensor, raised where the module can tell the circuit is wrong without resolving it into a high or low reading. On engines with a differential pressure feedback arrangement this sensor is often the second pressure input rather than a position sensor.
Intermittent connections land here more readily than hard failures, and the sensor's position in exhaust heat makes its harness the first thing to examine.
