P0613: Transmission Control Module Processor
What to do
The gearbox will probably be stuck in one gear — usually third — which is drivable at moderate speed but not on a motorway or under load. Get it looked at rather than driving on it: limp mode protects the gearbox in the short term but generates heat over distance. As with the engine module, ask for the supply and earths to be checked before a module is condemned.
What this code means
The transmission control module has failed an internal processor check — the gearbox equivalent of P0606, and it behaves the same way. The module drops into a protective default, which on most automatics means a single fixed gear, no torque converter lock-up, and firm shifts if it shifts at all.
That default exists to get the vehicle home rather than to be driven indefinitely. Running a torque converter unlocked for long periods generates heat that the transmission cooler was not sized for.

Information, not instruction
CarGeek is a reference, not a service manual. Its pages are written from public sources and from what other people have found, never from a manufacturer's own service information, so they can be wrong or incomplete for your particular vehicle. Some of what they describe carries real risk: high voltage, fuel under pressure, stored energy, hot and moving parts.
Have anything you intend to act on checked by a trained person against the manufacturer's own procedure for your vehicle. Nothing here replaces that procedure.

Nothing posted about this yet. Whatever you found is worth writing down — even a dead end saves someone the same afternoon.
What makes one worth reading:
- The car — make, model, year and engine. The same fault behaves differently on each.
- What you measured, not only what you replaced.
- What actually fixed it — or that nothing did, which is worth knowing too.
