P0628: Fuel Pump A Control Circuit Low
What to do
Driveable in most cases. If you can hear the fuel pump running after switching off and locking the car, mention it — the pump running continuously will flatten the battery and shortens the pump's life.
What this code means
The fuel pump control circuit is reading low — a short to ground, or a relay stuck closed. A pump running continuously with the ignition off drains the battery and, on some designs, runs the pump dry of the fuel that cools it.
If the pump can be heard running after the vehicle is locked and left, that is what is happening and it is worth acting on.
