What to do
Of all the sense-circuit codes this is the one most likely to have a cheap ending — a reading that jumps around is a connection problem, because a battery physically cannot change that fast. That argument is worth repeating to anyone who quotes a pack for it.
What this code means
Sense circuit B is reading erratically — stepping, dropping out, or moving faster than a battery section can.
This variant is the one that settles the question P0B14 poses, and it settles it in the reader's favour. A battery section has enormous electrical inertia: whatever else it does, it cannot change its voltage instantly, and it cannot change it in time with the road surface. A reading that jumps is a connection, not chemistry. So of the five variants, this is the one least likely to end in a pack.
As with any intermittent, the goal is to provoke it rather than to catch it — load the harness, tap the connectors, watch the value while the car is moved. Inside a traction pack that is specialist work, but it is diagnosis rather than replacement.
