As P0B3E — the one direction not to leave. If the car has limited or refused charging, leave it limited; that is protection, not a second fault.
What this code means
Cell group A's sense circuit is reading above its valid range.
High is the direction that deserves urgency, and it is the mirror image of Low in more than sign. A sense line cannot invent voltage, so the readings that push it over the top are a short across to another tap further up the string, a short to another circuit — or a cell group that genuinely is being overcharged.
That last branch is why this is not treated as just another wiring fault. Overcharging is the failure mode lithium chemistry handles worst, and the pack's own protection is the reason it rarely gets that far: expect charging to be limited or refused, and read that as the system working rather than as a second problem. Do not defer this one or work around the charging restriction.
There is a diagnostic consolation. Because balancing works by bleeding charge down from high groups, a group that is genuinely high should be one the module is already trying to correct — so whether the balancing history shows it fighting this group is a good discriminator between a real cell fault and a lying wire.
