Turbocharger Vane Position Sensor
Reports where the variable-geometry vanes actually are, closing the loop on boost control — the module commands a position and this says whether the vanes arrived. Usually integrated into the actuator. Its wiring is strapped to a housing that runs red hot under load, so heat-hardened insulation and chafed conductors are leading causes here rather than afterthoughts.
