Boost Control Solenoid
Regulates the control pressure that positions the wastegate or the variable-geometry vanes, and therefore sets boost. Mounted on or near the turbocharger, so its harness endures high temperature and constant vibration — melted insulation near the exhaust manifold is a recurring find.
