The supercharged 6.2 of General Motors' fifth-generation small block — LT4 in the C7 Z06, Camaro ZL1, CTS-V, CT5-V Blackwing and Escalade-V, and LT5 in the C7 ZR1. The atmospheric engine of the same family is the LT (Gen V small block).
It is not an LT1 with a blower on it. The pistons, rods, heads and cooling are all different, so parts do not cross over in either direction, and neither do the service intervals.
Heat is the engine's whole story, and the LT4's is a documented one. In the C7 Z06 the supercharger and its intercooling could not shed heat fast enough under sustained load, so the car pulled timing and lost power — a heat soak condition rather than a fault, and a car that has been tracked will have met it. A complaint of power falling away after a few hard laps is this, and no component is broken. GM revised the cooling; which revision a car carries matters.
Beyond that, the recurring items are the supercharger's own oil, which is a service point almost nobody performs and has no warning light, and the intercooler pump. Direct injection means intake-valve carbon at mileage, unlike the port-injected Gen IV engines these replaced.
