Mahindra XEV 9e
The BE 6's twin above the floor and its identical twin below it. Both are Mahindra's INGLO cars, both put a Valeo permanent-magnet motor at the back driving the rear wheels, and both offer the same two packs at the same outputs — so a drive-unit, charging or high-voltage procedure written for one is written for the other, which matters because almost nothing has been written about either.
The packs are lithium iron phosphate, not the nickel chemistry most electric cars in this catalogue use. LFP tolerates being charged to 100% as routine, holds a flatter voltage curve that makes state-of-charge estimation behave differently, and is noticeably worse in the cold — so a complaint about range, charging time or a state-of-charge reading that jumps has a different explanation here from the one it would have on an NMC car.
There is no engine, no fuel system, no catalyst and no emissions monitor, so the generic powertrain corpus reaches this vehicle only where a fault is electrical or chassis-side. Treat anything on an orange cable as its own subject.
