Volkswagen Beetle
The 1998-2019 car is a Golf underneath — Mk4 architecture for the New Beetle, Mk6 for the 2012-on car — so Golf information covers nearly all of it, and that is the first thing to establish because the name suggests otherwise. What is genuinely its own is packaging: the engine sits under a very long, shallow bonnet with the coolant expansion tank and much of the loom in awkward places, and the heater core and the pollen-filter drain are known water-ingress points that soak the front footwell and the modules under it, which is why a New Beetle with several unrelated electrical faults at once is usually one wet connector. The 1.8T and 1.9 TDI are the engines most examples carry, both very well documented through the Golf.
